摘要: Abstract This study presents the thermal and fluid flow characteristics of five heat sinks that have been fabricated by a rapid manufacturing technique known as Selective Laser Melting. The consist two conventional designs, cylindrical pin rectangular fin array, for comparison purposes, three novel sinks: staggered elliptical array; lattice; array with rounded corners. experimental results were compared data from literature found to be consistent. corners proved able transfer largest amount whilst improving upon pressure drop performance standard array. Although lattice arrangement made use fabrication process’ ability manufacture high surface area volume ratios, its was limited lack interaction between cooling air structure. In terms both drop, which cannot manufactured techniques, outperformed other sinks.
