摘要: According to the American Cancer Society, prostate cancer is second most common cause of cancer-related mortality for US men. A continuing research challenge improve diagnosis (especially ability detect uncommon aggressive cancers) and chemoprevention (through nutrition lifestyle factors). The chapter highlights growing importance secondary prevention since an indolent, slow tumor; preventing early tumor progression or eradicating bone metastases may cure disease. Considerations known etiology biology are presented as well strengths limitations current diagnostic prognostic factors specific interventions that have been tested. Lastly, promising avenues strategies based upon knowledge.
