Detection of the methyl radical in a methane/air diffusion flame by multiphoton ionization spectroscopy

摘要: Abstract Methyl radicals have been detected in an atmospheric pressure, methane/air diffusion flame by three-photon ionization. The origin band of the transition between X 2 A ″ ground electronic state and 3p Rydberg is observed at 333.5 nm via two-photon excitation. second peak 340.8 likely due to both a methyl radical hot same ionization carbon atoms produced photolysis. Spatial profiles are presented as function height above burner discussed terms resonant non-resonant processes.
