摘要: A proprietary lecithin delivery system of curcumin (Meriva) was evaluated in a controlled study to assess its efficacy alleviating the side effects cancer chemo- and radiotherapy 160 patients undergoing these treatments. In both cases, semi-quantitative evaluation carried out using visual analogue scale, assessing also plasma free radical status all patients. Results showed that lecithinized might alleviate burden associated radiotherapy, suggesting anecdotal use various preparations as supportive agent for treatment is well worth systematic investigation larger scale clinical trials. The capacity upregulate anti-oxidative responses downregulate inflammatory pathways could explain beneficial effect tempering prolonged systemic oxidative treatment, observed group support this view.
