摘要: [1] Cloud vertical structure is a key quantity in meteorological and climate studies, but it also among the most difficult quantities to observe. In this study, we develop long-term (10 years) radiosonde-based cloud profile product for U.S. Department of Energy's Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) program Southern Great Plains (SGP), Tropical Western Pacific (TWP), North Slope Alaska (NSA) sites shorter-term ARM Mobile Facility (AMF) deployed Shouxian, Anhui Province, China (AMF-China). The AMF-China site was operation from 14 May 28 December 2008; have been collecting data over 15 years. Active Remote Sensing Cloud (ARSCL) value-added (VAP), which combines 95-GHz W-band Radar (WACR) and/or 35-GHz Millimeter Microwave (MMCR), used study validate layer retrieval method. performance method applied different regimes evaluated. Overall, layers derived ARSCL VAP radiosonde agree very well at SGP sites. At TWP NSA sites, tends detect more upper troposphere.
