摘要: BACKGROUND AND AIM Effects of atrial fibrillation (AF) and its ablative treatment on LV torsion have not yet been fully investigated. This study aimed to examine whether AF patterns contraction correction can exert a significant impact by velocity vector imaging (VVI). METHODS case-control conducted in Rajaie Cardiovascular, Medical Research Center between October 2012 June 2013. Study participants were 30 consecutive patients with symptomatic paroxysmal who met the inclusion criteria. The control group included 24 healthy no history cardiovascular disease. All individuals sinus rhythm at time echocardiography before after ablation procedure. Two-dimensional (2D) Doppler commercially available ultrasound system was performed for all patients. Scanning done wide-band transducer frequency range 2.5-3.5 MHz. two short-axis views basal apical levels subsequently processed off-line VVI XStrain software. In order data analysis, SPSS 16 utilized using paired independent t-test. p-value ≤0.05 considered significant. RESULTS (°/cm) mean ± SD significantly lower (0.8±0.3) than (1.5±0.4) (p<0.001) increased (1.1±0.5) compared (p=0.004), but still (p=0.003). Twist, twist rate untwist ablation, group. CONCLUSION Subclinical dysfunction may be detected measuring torsional parameters through which improves ablation.
