摘要: A new sensitive and rapid method is proposed for the spectrophotometric determination of molybdenum in some cobalt nickel base alloys steels. The procedure based on formation a molybdenum(VI)-quinalizarin complex an aqueous micellar solution cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) at pH 3.2-4.2. Beer′s law obeyed over range 0.05-0.60ppm molybdenum. apparent molar absorptivity (1.27±0.01)×105l mol-1 cm-1 580nm sensitivity index 0.0007μgcm-2 experimental factors which affect color reaction were investigated throughly. free interference from most common metal ions.
