摘要: Abstract Determination of the controlling nucleation and recrystallisation mechanisms from a samples microstructure are essential for understanding how formed evolved through time. The aim our research was to apply quantified analytical approach identification nucleation, microstructural modification mechanisms. We used electron backscatter diffraction quantify microstructures naturally deformed quartz-rich rocks which were at various temperature pressure conditions. Our results show that ratios recrystallised grain size subgrain with values less than 1 (0.5–0.7 in data presented here) suggest bulge whereas ∼1 rotation nucleation. Other supporting evidence is an increase misorientation centre original protolith ‘parent’ edge. All due boundary sliding including increased angles between grains movement parent grains. By systematically analysing sample it possible separate out determine mechanisms, as well being able identify Using quantification via EBSD allows systematic methodology analyse any location objective viewpoint.
