摘要: Although the proportion of bicycles to cars on road remains low in United States, it is an upward trend. The high cost gasoline and re-introduction as attractive way commute have contributed increase ridership nationwide. However, number grows, so do associated challenges. Without a clear understanding how these two parties interact network possible that we may stunt growth this sustainable beneficial form transportation endanger riders through car-centered design practices unwillingness accommodate for cyclists their needs road. Five years bicycle crash data from city San Francisco were analyzed. Using multinomial logistic regression, relate different factors likelihood accident occurring, corresponding severity, party at fault. Through statistical analysis study hopes determine some statistically significant contributing accidents involving make recommendations planners professionals can keep bicyclist safety considerations mind. A few trends found, are made try mitigate risk related severity.
