摘要: Solanum surattense is a medicinal plant of vast remedial significance. The present study was aimed to reveal its diversity based on morphological and molecular markers from 28 accessions belonging six ecogeographical regions. Significant differences were observed for descriptors viz., morphology, flower color, fruit shape size, number fruits per cluster, leaf lobes thorns leaf. Molecular studied using randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) inter simple sequence repeat (ISSR) markers. A total 30 primers (22 RAPD 8 ISSR) produced 166 bands with an average 5.5 primer. UPGMA dendrogram clustered the into four groups at 40 % similarity while principal component analysis grouped them three clusters. Most genetic variations contained among populations not in population. correlation value between matrices moderate nonsignificant. This characterization basis will help identification economically useful genotypes further conservation programmes.
