摘要: Background Inflammation is an established risk factor for atherosclerosis. In inflammatory state, nuclear factor-κ B (NF-κB) frequently activated as a key transcription activator the downstream responses. Hypothesis The aim of this study was to investigate changes NF-κB in aorta patients with coronary atherosclerosis and its association atherosclerotic factors. Methods From 2004 2005, we collected small piece ascending bypass procedure from (n = 31) undergoing artery graft (CABG) surgery. The expression determined by immunohistochemistry, transcriptional activity evaluated electrophoretic mobility shift assay. Celiac aortic tissues 4 subjects without known through kidney donation program were taken control. Results NF-κB detectable aortas CABG activities significantly increased. relative level elevated who smokers or hypertension. Spearman correlation revealed that had significant severity scores (Gensini score, r 0.608, P < .05). positively correlated levels blood glucose, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, lipoprotein(a), total non-high-density cholesterol (P .05); but negatively high-density .05). Conclusions Our demonstrates highly atherosclerosis, which may reflect overall arterial overinflammatory status. findings hyperactive provide diagnostic parameter inflammation associated cause Copyright © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
