摘要: The carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family comprises a large number of cellular surface molecules, the CEA-related cell adhesion molecules (CEACAMs), which belong to Ig superfamily. CEACAMs exhibit complex expression pattern in normal and malignant tissues. majority are that involved great variety distinct processes, for example integration responses through homo- heterophilic interaction with broad selection signal regulatory proteins, i.e., integrins or cytoskeletal components tyrosine kinases. Moreover, affects tumor growth, angiogenesis, differentiation, immune responses, they serve as receptors commensal pathogenic microbes. Recently, new insights into CEACAM structure function became available, providing further elucidation their kaleidoscopic functions.
