摘要: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is first-line therapy for sudden, unexpected, cardiac arrest (CA). Laypersons are most likely to administer CPR because CAs occur in the home or community. Training laypersons adminster has become a routine activity but some would argue that it not an we do particularly well. Out-of-hospital attempts have led very low survival rates (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13)—less than 10% Europe (2,3,6, 8) and majority of urban areas United States (1,9, 13). Densely populated such as Chicago New York City rate sudden CA (13) rural areas.
