摘要: Anthropologists were quick to recognize the potential of new techniques in molecular biology provide additional lines evidence on questions long in- vestigated anthropology, as well those that, while always interest, could not have been ad- dressed by more traditional techniques. The earliest an- cient DNA studies, both within anthropology and other fields, lacked rigorous hypothesis testing. However, recently true value ancient studies is being realized, methods are applied a wide variety anthropological questions. We review most common applications date, describe promising avenues future research. find that analyses valuable place array anthropo- logical techniques, but argue such must be undertaken merely demonstrate surviving present organic remains, no work should performed before careful consideration
