摘要: Abstract NanTroSEIZE Exp. 319 of the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) was first cruise in history scientific ocean drilling with mud circulation through a riser. pumped drill string and returned to ship riser pipe during hole C0009A from 703 1604 mbsf (meter below sea floor) enlargement 1569 mbsf. During drilling, gas returning continuously extracted, sampled analyzed real time reveal information on composition concentrations at depth. Hydrocarbons were only formation-derived gases identified reached up 14 vol.% methane 48 ppmv ethane. The chemical isotopic compositions hydrocarbons exhibit microbial origin. released cuttings correlate visible allochthonous material (wood, lignite) cuttings. At greater depth, addition small but increasing amounts probably low-temperature thermal degradation organic matter is indicated. content also tightly correlated several intervals low Poisson’s ratio Vp/Vs observed sonic velocity logs, suggesting that situated pore space rock as free gas. formation, determined monitoring, reaching 24 Lgas/Lsediment for C0009A, line interpreted downhole logs.
