摘要: Aim:  This article will describe a survey carried out in February 2004, the aim of which was to summarize form and content clinical librarian (CL) other similar outreach information services UK health professionals acute (secondary or tertiary) sector. Objectives: (i) To activities views offering involving librarians’ presence setting, (ii) develop tool explore critical aspects this work, (iii) create contacts database for CLs, be made available on Internet. Methodology:  All known specialists/librarians CL were surveyed. The semi-structured questionnaire piloted. Respondents asked consider their activity over period 4 weeks. Results:  Twenty-six people responded invitation take part met inclusion criteria. Conclusions:  A summary ‘typical’ revealed by is given, with major conclusion that there very mixed picture activity. Opinion how far CLs should go fully appraising search results uncertain. suggests reasons developments may influence change are discussed. Recommendations future research development offered.
