摘要: Cocaine- and amphetamine-regulated transcript (CART) is widely distributed in the brain of many species. In hypothalamus, CART neurotransmission has been implicated diverse functions including energy balance, stress response, temperature endocrine regulation. Although some studies have performed primates, very little known about distribution neurons New World monkeys. monkeys are good models for systems neuroscience, as species evolved several behavioral anatomical characteristics shared with humans, diurnal social habits, intense maternal care, complex manipulative abilities well-developed frontal cortices. present study, we assessed mRNA peptide hypothalamus capuchin monkey (Cebus apella) common marmoset (Callithrix jacchus). We found that hypothalamic these similar to what described rodents but relevant differences were noticed. Only observed suprachiasmatic intercalatus nuclei, whereas only dorsal anterior nucleus. also displayed periventricular preoptic nucleus an area seemingly comprising premammillary These sites both well defined poorly humans. Our findings indicate expression conserved across identified suggest involved control species-specific related functions.
