摘要: Abstract An isotherm migration method is presented to track the isotherms at surface of a semi-infinite workpiece that being heated by point source with linear motion. The governing heat conduction equation first transformed into one-dimensional in spherical coordinates, which expresses velocities as function positions and their temperature derivatives. A finite difference formulation this then derived together corresponding boundary conditions. It shown through number simulations system converges analytical solution when mesh refined. additional presence phase change results Stefan problem can be solved approximately some minor modifications method. resulting equations used simple but accurate thermal model for laser-material interaction processes such laser treatments cladding.
