摘要: Here, we provide a detailed account of how to denervate white and brown adipose tissue (WAT BAT) measure sympathetic nervous system (SNS) activity these other tissues neurochemically. The brain controls many the functions WAT BAT via SNS innervation tissues, especially lipolysis thermogenesis, respectively. There is no clearly demonstrated parasympathetic or major interscapular (IBAT) depot. communicate with neurally sensory nerves. We detail surgical denervation (eliminating both innervations) several pads IBAT. also more selective chemical intra-WAT/IBAT 6-hydroxy-dopamine (a catecholaminergic neurotoxin) injections capsaicin nerve injections. Verifications denervations are provided (HPLC-EC detection for SNS, ELIA calcitonin gene-related peptide (proven marker)). Finally, assessment drive WAT/BAT described using alpha-methyl-para-tyrosine method combined HPLC-EC, direct neurochemical activity. These methods have proven useful us investigators interested in tissues. approach has been extended nonadipose as well.
