摘要: A Quantum Well Intermixing (QWI) technique has been introduced to modify the transfer function of quantum well electroabsorption (EA) modulator for analog optical links. The linearization EA achieved by introducing QW absorption regions differently intermixed each other along waveguide. 39.6 dB IMD2 (2nd order intermodulation distortion) suppression and a 3.6 SFDR (Spurious Free Dynamic Range) enhancement have achieved.
