摘要: Abstract Here we use bulk and amino acid-specific stable nitrogen (N) isotope analysis (AA-CSIA) to evaluate seasonal regional change in mesozooplankton dynamics for the first time coastal waters of eastern Mediterranean. Cyprus δ15N values were significantly higher late winter (2.3‰) than summer (1.2‰), all cases less northeast Aegean Sea (NEA; 3.4‰). AA-CSIA indicates that these differences can primarily be attributed community trophic structure, with overall position increasing by 0.2–0.3 as compared around Cyprus, NEA 0.3–0.6. Such are most likely related larger contribution carnivorous observed NEA. Overall, our findings indicate value Mediterranean is driven position, rather variability at base food web.
