摘要: Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate which variables can predict walking ability and activity level 1 year after hip fracture describe changes over time regarding functional capacity. Subjects: One hundred fifty-seven patients (111 women, 46 men), mean age 80.9 (SD 9.5) years, operated on for fracture, able participate either fully or some extent in performance tests approximately week operation were included. Due high mortality fragility, only 57 participated the 1-year follow-up. Design methods: tested at discharge physical performance, pain bone mineral density. Status before evaluated by means interview. At follow-up, also asked about their activities outside home. A stepwise logistic regression used prediction. Results: had a significantly faster speed better balance function than before. test “Timed up go” strong predictor both andactivity fracture. Knowledge patient’s habits outdoors degree independent strengthened
