摘要: Sonic waves were used in the pressure treatment ofDouglas-fir and ponderosa pine samples with water, results compared those when was hydraulically applied, as conventional treatments. For Douglas-fir, sonic superior to at both pressures investigated: 0.55 MPa (80 psi) 0.69 (100 psi). With this species, sonically induced absorptions exceeded by an approximately constant factor of 1.5 throughout 2-hour treatment. Continuation ofthis relationship until Douglas-fir reached saturation would indicate that allow treating solution gain access spaces wood structure are unavailable under conditions This relationship, however, did not exist samples. In their case, difference between hydraulic treatments decreased approached absorption. The source species is presently unknown. may offer significant potential for improvement pressure-treating process refractory species.
