摘要: An investigation of the morphology zircon in clasts and matrix a greenschist facies metaconglomerate from Shetland has revealed history alteration radiation-damaged grains, partial dissolution growth new zircon. These processes are linked to generation chemically modified dark BSE that is spatially related fractures generated during radiation damage; embayments rounding margins; late overgrowths original grains. modifications all presence fluids so used track fluid behaviour different lithologies metaconglomerate. Alteration unrelated clast margins radically various types. This reflects difference permeability suggests deformation strongly controls influx into quartzite, whereas granite associated with restricted reflecting more limited response events.
