摘要: PURPOSE To determine whether the use of topical apraclonidine just before LASIK procedure prevents subconjunctival hemorrhage and to study its effect on postoperative flap adherence. METHODS Topical 0.125% was randomly applied 1 eye 66 myopic patients who underwent primary bilateral LASIK. Apraclonidine instilled hour prior 30 seconds placing vacuum ring microkeratome, whereas other served as control. Thirty minutes after operation, all were examined by surgeon evaluate hyperemia identify flap-related complications (eg, slippage, dislocation, or folds). The size also evaluated days 7. All 132 eyes in surgery folds and/or their dislocation. RESULTS In group, 48 (72.8%) had no hyperemia, 16 (24.2%) mild 2 (3%) moderate (0%) severe hyperemia. control 37 (56.1%) 21 (31.8%) (1.5%) 7 (10.6%) 44 (66.7%) (grade 0); grade present 19 (28.8%) grades 3 eye, respectively. showed 0, 13 (19.7%) 1, 20 (30.3%) 14 (21.2%) eyes, Chi-square test a highly significant difference between two groups (P < .001). No problems reported either group. CONCLUSIONS may prevent immediate prolonged alpha-mimetic vasoconstrictor without inducing adherence complication.
