摘要: The effect of thermal pre-annealing on the creation second-order nonlinearity in a pure twin-hole optical fibre thermally poled at 3.5 kV and 280°C for 30 min has been investigated. In unannealed as-drawn fibres, SON ∼ 0.18 pm/V was induced core-cladding interface. showed little polarisation dependence. fibres pre-annealed 400°C 3 h, smaller, decreasing to 0.09 magnitude. 800°C no detectable found Electron-migration along connected existing defects interface postulated be responsible frozenin space-charge field that generated effective observed. Thermal annealing is proposed have caused defect-annihilation, which resulted smaller SON.
