摘要: The paper describes using a combination of different methods bike counting to better understand volumes bicycles, bicyclists, and bicycle thefts at the University California (UC) Davis. In particular, police reports rack counts were combined with surveying random sample population in order triangulate around total numbers active versus abandoned bikes parked on campus, net movements over course day, extent that being used as local circulator mode only whether they stored campus overnight. results underscore value mix measurement methods, enabling UC Davis planners estimate volume (approximately 47 percent overnight bikes, 31 daytime 23 overall capacity), are under-reported (about 12 reported), secondary 20 an average weekday).
