摘要: Abstract Background Reducing the risks and impacts of pesticide use on human health environment is one objectives European Commission Directive 2009/128/EC in quest for a sustainable pesticides. This Directive, developed through national plans such as Ecophyto plan France, promotes introduction innovative cropping systems relying, example, integrated pest management. Risk assessment overall these required before those to avoid that an innovation becomes new problem. Objectives The this work were assess compare (1) exposure pesticides used conventional designed reduce needs, (2) corresponding health. Methods Humans (operator residents) assessed each with BROWSE model. Then, method was proposed represent risk due all system. study considers 3 9 associated systems, 116 plant protection products containing 89 different active substances (i.e. pesticides). Results modelling results obtained showed low input or no herbicide would comparison systems. On contrary, conservation tillage system lead unacceptable conditions our study, because high number applications, especially some herbicides. For residents, dermal absorption main route while ingestion found be negligible. operators, inhalation also predominant exposure. In general, correlated treatment frequency index TFI (number registered doses per hectare copping season), confirming relationship between reduction risks. Conclusions Assessment model helped identify decreased from propose improvements by identifying led
