摘要: Few research studies have investigated the effectiveness of instructional strategies for students in juvenile corrections. The dearth on effective instruction this population may be due part to difficulties encountered carrying out methodologically rigorous these settings. This article reports barriers and challenges we experienced while conducting a multi-site intensive reading intervention study We discuss issues encountered, including adequacy collaboration with administrators, facility staff, staff; defining roles responsibilities sampling attrition; securing appropriate settings; identifying instrumentation materials. For each area, outcomes make recommendations future research.
