摘要: A method is described for the quantitative and, possibly, large-scale extraction of astaxanthin from yeast Phaffia rhodozyma. The utilizes extracellular enzymes produced by bacterium Bacillus circulans WL-12, which partially digests cell wall and renders carotenoid pigments extractable acetone or ethanol. Complete recovery heat-killed P. rhodozyma cells was obtained after growing B. WL-12 on these 26 h then extracting yeast-bacterium mixture with acetone. bacteria-free lytic system, gave rhodozyma, concentrating culture broth growth cells. Hydrolytic enzyme activities detected in this concentrate included beta-(1 leads to 3)-glucanase, 6)-glucanase, alpha-(1 xylanase, chitinase. system found work most efficiently at pH 6.5 low concentrations yeast.
