摘要: Abstract The crushing of surface asperities by a frictionless die is examined under conditions bulk deformation the underlying material. For one-dimensional (ridge-like) aligned perpendicularly to direction strain, slip-line field has been found which enables growth real area contact with strain be calculated. in an approximate energy method due Wilson and Sheu developed further [W. Both theories predict large increase reduction load needed for yielding. give reasonable agreement experiments.
