Life forecasting of Getalsud Reservoir in India based on its sedimentation behaviour

摘要: The sedimentation behaviour of Getalsud Reservoir in the Jharkhand State India was studied, and its useful life performance forecasted. quantity sediment vertical distribution over different reservoir elevations have been estimated using standard methods. study results indicate provisions made for deposit are sufficient, will be longer than design 100 years. trap-efficiency is not anticipated to vary much until year 2250, after which it expected rapidly decrease. In first 100 years impoundment, loses 60% dead storage, 13% live storage 24% gross storage. At present rate, may become fully obsolete by 2500.
