摘要: Removal of cadmium and nickel from static water systems utilizing hyacinths (Eichhornia crassipes (Mart.) Solms) was investigated. This aquatic plant demonstrated the ability to rapidly remove heavy metals aqueous by root absorption concentration. Water absorb concentrate up 0.67 mg 0.50 per gram dry material when exposed for a 24-hour period waters polluted with 0.578 2.00 ppm these toxic metals. It is found that one hectare has potential removing 300 g or 240,000 liters during period.
