Raman spectroscopy of pristine and doped single wall carbon nanotubes

摘要: Abstract Pulsed laser vaporization (PLV) of a heated, Fe/Ni or Co/Ni catalyzed carbon target in Argon gas has been used to synthesize single-wall nanotubes (SWNTs). The Raman spectrum SWNTs is very different from that observed for graphite (the nanotube’s flat parent) and these differences can be understood as result the cyclic boundary condition imposed on graphene sheet rolled up form seamless nanotube. Optical resonances are which associated with one-dimensional character electronic states novel quantum wires. high frequency tangential mode significantly upshifted (downshifted) when SWNT bundles exposed acceptor (donor) dopants.
