摘要: Abstract This paper examines the utility of concept urban growth coalitions for understanding origins, development and demise Hampshire Development Association. The analysis reveals a remarkable number apparent similarities with model postulated by Logan Molotch to exist in US including: orientation; property sector bias; an ideology value-free development; importance local ‘political entrepreneurship’; token representation non-capitalist interests. However, closer examination differences between HDA coalitions. These patterns largely reflect differing character government systems UK USA but common elements suggest universal pressures era intense competition mobile capital.
