摘要: Bronchial hyperresponsiveness, which consists of an exaggerated response the airways to bronchoconstrictor stimuli, is one main characteristics asthma, presented in nearly all asthmatic patients. hyperresponsiveness may also be present other diseases, such as allergic rhinitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cystic fibrosis, heart failure and respiratory infection, with some medications, β-blockers. provocation tests (also known bronchial challenges) are used evaluate responsiveness. These have become increasingly over last 20 years, development validation accurate, safe reproducible tests, publication well-detailed protocols. Several stimuli can a challenge, they classified direct indirect stimuli. There many indications for challenge. In this review, we discuss differences between use challenges clinical practice, especially confirming diagnoses exercise-induced bronchoconstriction cough-variant among elite-level athletes.
