摘要: The northeast region (NER) of India covers an area 0.26 million km2. This is one the highest rainfall-receiving regions on planet. Consequently, it has huge water and hydropower potential analysis rainfall temperature trends would be interest to energy planners. Trends in monthly, seasonal, annual subdivision regional scale for NER were examined this study. Trend data series 1871–2008 did not show any clear trend as a whole, although there are seasonal some seasons hydro-meteorological subdivisions. Similar showed that all four variables (maximum, minimum, mean temperatures range) had rising trend. Notably post-monsoon season, Sen’s estimator slope (°C/year) was 0.019, 0.011, 0.015 maximum, temperature, respectively. Copyright  2012 Royal Meteorological Society
