Assessing the effects of parent-child interactions on child communication skills

摘要: This study examined the role maternal and child characteristics play in children’s subsequent communication development. The relationship between parent-child interactions communications skills was using Indicator of Parent-Child Interactions (IPCI) Early Communication (ECI). Twenty-two mother-child dyads were assessed at three time points. Children ranged age from 7 months to 30 start study. Significant concurrent relationships found engagement behaviors total scores 1 3. A significant negative correlation existed reactivity 1. No predictive found. IPCI percentage did not predict ECI 2 or need for future research implications field are discussed.
