摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter illustrates that quantum entanglement lies at the heart of new proposals for communication and computation. For a long time it has been seen just as one those fancy features make mechanics so counterintuitive, but, recently, field information theory showed tremendous importance correlations formulation methods transfer algorithms exploiting capability computers. Whereas latter application requires among large number systems, basic schemes rely only on between members pair particles, directly pointing possible realization such by means correlated photon pairs produced parametric down-conversion. The also repots first experimental realizations using entangled pairs. It describes how to secure against eaves dropping entanglement-based cryptography, increase capacity channel dense coding, finally communicate itself in process teleportation.
