摘要: Glycoxidation and inflammatory markers in patients on treatment with PMMA-based protein-leaking dialyzers. Background High-molecular-weight solutes such as glycation oxidation protein products are putative proinflammatory mediators found the uremic blood. The elimination of these other large by dialyzers (PLD) might help to correct status maintenance hemodialysis (HD) patients. Methods Two matched groups 13 standard 3 times/week HD were treated for 6 months PLD non–protein-leaking (NPLD), respectively. At baseline, 1, 3, months, we measured blood levels cytokines IL-1β, TNF-α, IL-6, acute-phase C-reactive (CRP), adhesion molecules ICAM-1, VCAM-1, selectine-E, chemotaxis factors MCP-1, end pentosidine, carbonyls, AOPP. Results In all at pre-HD markers, parameters significantly higher than healthy control subjects ( P Conclusion results this pilot study show that removal can improve some indices chronic inflammation Further studies required determine relevance individual removed environment.
