摘要: The use of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for detection human adenoviruses in diluted stool samples was investigated. Several primers, including ones specific hexon-coding region and enteric adenovirus (EAd) types 40 41, were evaluated. primers constitute three different PCR systems designed all six subgenera (A-F), two EAds Ad40 Ad41, Ad40, respectively. general system EAd-specific also include nested a two-step amplification. limit assay amplification 1 single virus particle when sets hexon or used. sensitivity PCR, together with its simplicity reduced time-scale compared other methods, emphasize potential this technique as an additional method routine diagnosis infections.
