摘要: Current methods for evaluating Sm-Nd isochron data determine initial ϵNd (ϵNdi) values by extrapolation to 147Sm144Nd = 0, resulting in unnecessarily large uncertainties. It is shown that of ϵNdi can be optimised determining the present 143Nd144Nd composition a hypothetical sample having chrondritic SmNd. This method determination requires only simple translation its implementation using standard line-fitting techniques, and particularly advantageous providing precise suites limited compositional range close chondritic SmNd. A constructing error (uncertainty) polygons appropriate (ϵNdi, T) discussed, optimumϵNdi are tabulated all published Precambrian isochrons.
