摘要: Conditions have been examined for the measurement of electronic excitation energy transfer coefficients dissolved aromatic donor + acceptor systems at high and low optical density limits. Transfer obtained phenanthrene anthracene system both limits in air-saturated ether are good agreement with that expected a diffusion-limited process; 1La 1Lb states azulene respectively sensitize quench fluorescent state anthracene, naphthalene sensitizes second excited azulene. The extremely self-quenching constants found attributed to rapid excimer dissociation under prevailing conditions; evidence indicates this process is also responsible constant it suggested involves self-sensitization lowest (non-fluorescent)1Lb state.
