摘要: We studied the modulation of GABAergic inhibition by glutamate and kainate acting on GluR5-containing receptors in CA1 hippocampal region. Glutamate, or ATPA, a selective agonist receptors, generates an inward current inhibitory interneurons cause repetitive action potential firing. This results massive increase tonic somata apical dendrites pyramidal neurons. These effects are prevented GluR5 antagonist LY 293558. Electrical stimulation excitatory afferents receptor-mediated postsynaptic currents (EPSCs) potentials identified that project to Therefore containing subunit may provide protective mechanism against hyperexcitability.
