摘要: Abstract The present experiment investigated whether a signal for reinforcement would facilitate the acquisition of required response sequence, despite enhanced sequence resulting in lower rate. Two groups hungry rats responded on synthetic variable interval (VI) schedule food reinforcement. On this schedule, was available first to target lever after VI 60-s had elapsed. However, also made contingent second criterion, which that subject emit specified number responses prior lever. Rats received brief tone simultaneously with delivery performed task requirements more accurately than lacking signal. This performance accompanied by rate finding provides support notion signals conventional attenuate responding due “accurately” structured emission precedes reward.
