摘要: Abstract The reation to fire of polyurethane foams (PUFs) has been a subject increasing relevance, so in this study the reaction performance PUFs derived from crude glycerol (CG) improved using expanded graphite (EG). influence different loadings EG on physical–mechanical properties composite assessed and results obtained show that it significant positive impact. Moreover, PUF EG/PUF composites investigated showed behavior containing as little 5 wt% are significantly improved. Indeed dramatic reduction rate heat release, mass loss rate, effective combustion specific extinction area, observed even for relative low amount EG. Likewise, use Infrared Thermography function time proven that, when is used, stops suddenly temperature drops sharply compared with unfilled sample, which suggests acts like flame extinguisher. have suitability CG production addition considerably improves foams.
