摘要: Improvements in medical interventions for people with Down's syndrome have led to a substantial increase their longevity. Diagnosis and treatment of neurological complications are important maintaining optimal cognitive functioning. The phenotype is characterised by impairments morphosyntax, verbal short-term memory, explicit long-term memory. However, visuospatial associative learning, implicit memory functions preserved. Seizures associated decline seem cause additional functioning, particularly comorbid disorders such as autism. Vision hearing well hypothyroidism can negatively impact functioning syndrome. Dementia that resembles Alzheimer's disease common adults Early-onset dementia does not be atherosclerotic complications.
