Autologous blood versus corticosteroid local injection for treatment of Lateral Epicondylosis: A Randomized Clinical Trial

摘要: Objective: The objective of the present single blinded prospective randomized control trial was assessment efficacy autologous blood injection versus local steroid in treatment lateral epicondylosis elbow. Methodology: Using a pre-post experimental design, total sixty patients previously untreated were selected; Group 1 (n=30) administered and 2 corticosteroid injection. Assessment done at baseline, weeks, 6 weeks 12 using PRTEE (Patient Rated Tennis Elbow Evaluation) score. Results: Pre parameters showed no difference between groups (chi square test, p > 0.005). Analysis significant decrease group very short term - (unpaired t < 0.005).There weeks. There improvement medium -12 0.05). Conclusion: Both interventions effective reducing pain improving functional status term, but more longer run.
