摘要: Abstract. The TROPOspheric Monitoring Instrument (TROPOMI) onboard the Sentinel-5 Precursor (S5P) satellite was launched on 13 October 2017 to provide atmospheric composition for atmosphere and climate research. S5P is a sun-synchronous polar-orbiting providing global daily coverage. TROPOMI swath 2600 km wide, ground resolution most data products 7.2 x 3.5 km2 (5.6 x 3.5 km2 since 6 August 2019) at nadir. Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) responsible development processing of Surface Ultraviolet (UV) Radiation Product which includes 36 UV parameters in total. Ground-based from 25 sites located arctic, subarctic, temperate, equatorial antarctic areas were used validation overpass irradiance 305, 310, 324 380 nm, erythemally weighted dose rate/UV index period 1 January 2018 31 2019. results showed that 60–80 % within ±20 % ground-based snow free surface conditions. median relative differences measurements doses ±10 % ±5 % two thirds half sites, respectively. At several more than 90 % clear sky measurements. Generally between little biased towards negative values, but high latitudes where non-homogeneous topography albedo/snow conditions occurred, bias exceptionally high, −30 % −65 %. Positive biases 10–15 % also found mountainous due challenging topography. quality flags detect increased uncertainties heterogeneous albedo rough terrain can be filter retrieved under
