摘要: There is currently a debate about the presence of phylogenetic signal in bone histological data, but very few rigorous tests have fuelled discussions on this topic. Here, we performed new analyses using larger set seven traits and including 25 taxa (nine extinct 16 extant taxa), three methods: eigenvector regression, tree length distribution regressions distance matrices. Our results clearly show that our sample characters strong, even after correcting for multiple testing. Most exhibit significant according to at least one tests, with phylogeny often explaining 20-60% variation characters. Thus, conclude comparative method should be systematically used interspecific histodiversity avoid problems non-independence among observations.
